Sikles and Kori Danda are beautiful places in the Annapurna region of Nepal. They offer quiet trekking trails, amazing mountain views, and a chance to experience the rich culture of the Gurung people. From the trail, you can see tall Himalayan peaks like Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and the famous Machapuchare (Fishtail).
Sikles, located at around 2,000 meters, is one of the oldest and largest Gurung villages in Nepal. The village is full of charm, with traditional stone houses, farm terraces, and friendly locals. Higher up, at around 3,800 meters, is Kori Danda—a peaceful open meadow surrounded by forest and mountain views. It's a quiet place where locals take their animals to graze, and now it's also becoming a lovely trekking destination.
This trek is great for those who want a calm and less crowded route, without going too far from Pokhara, which is the nearest city. Unlike other popular treks, this trail is still quiet and natural, making it perfect for people who enjoy peaceful walks and want to learn about local life.
The name Sikles has cultural meaning and shows the strong bond among the people living there. Along the way, you'll walk through green forests, cross hanging bridges, and climb gentle hills. The trek usually starts with a drive from Pokhara to a village like Tangting or Sikles, and the whole journey takes about 5 to 7 days.
If you’re looking for a short and peaceful adventure with mountain views, local culture, and beautiful nature, the Sikles–Kori trek is a perfect choice.
